MISSION

The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, and to envision and endorse the future of pharmacy. As a chapter we strive to prepare pharmacy students to be committed, compassionate, and competent in their profession, as well as advocates of social justice.

Established in 1852, the American Pharmacists Association currently represents more than 60,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others interested in the pharmacy profession. More than 30,000 student pharmacists are active members of APhA-ASP, making it the largest student pharmacy organization in the United States. APhA continues to represent pharmacists in all practice settings and strives to improve on medication use and patient care. By being a member of APhA-ASP, student pharmacists will help make important changes to the profession of pharmacy through the programs, publications, and services APhA has to offer.
